About Tania Crossingham
I live on Tamborine Mountain, in the hinterland behind the Gold Coast, Australia. In my early years as an artist, I was fascinated with the illuminated books of the Middle ages, and produced a series of works based on this period. As I became more interested in spirituality, my artwork became more contemporary and biographical. My artwork reflected the huge transformations that were taking place within me. I began producing ink and water colour pieces and pencil sketches. Soon after I began experimenting with digital art, and found this to be an excellent medium to represent the images that were pouring into my head.
I like to work intuitively, tuning in and allowing the images to "download" into my consciousness.
As an artist, I like to inspire my viewers to see themselves as 'more' and encourage them to look a little deeper into themselves... beginning to explore the mystery of self.
